I saw the ads for Smooth Away Hair Removal on the television and it peaked my interest. What it is is a hair removal hand pad with a crystallized surface on it which exfoliates your skin. The price is very cheap, so I decided to head to the local corner store and buy a set of pads to try it out.

From what I had seen of it in online commercials, it looked to me like a little mitt with sandpaper on it. Looked kind of painful actually. I was a little apprehensive about using some kind of pad that was going to rip my hair out as if I where waxing.

I took it out of the box, there where two different sized pads which I assume are for treating different areas of your body. I have slightly thicker than fine hair on my arms, so I decided that this would be the litmus test — I started rubbing one of the pads on my arm as recommended, in a circular pattern. Sure enough, it certainly hurt a bit. It basically rips the hair out of your arm and exfoliates at the same time. I had tons of dead skin along with hairs that collected on the pad. YUCK! Though I can see how this would work well for people with fine hairs, if you have thicker hair, this product is a definite no-go.

Another thing that I didn’t like about these pads was that when I was done, even though I was meticulous about treating my entire arm, there where still patches of hair that remained on my arm. This was after rubbing my arm for minutes! In my opinion, it would have been a much better use of my time to simply use a razor or any other hair removal device. Yes… I said razor! The hair on my arm seemed to grow back even faster and more stubbly than if I simply let the hair grow out and shaved it with a disposable razor. Not only that, but I had a nice little red rash on my arm after I was done using the product. Even though the pressure I used was gentle to moderate, it looked as if my skin had some kind of reaction to the pads for about an hour and a half. I dont recommend using this if you are going to be going out in public directly after.

On the positive side of this, I hear that this pad works wonders for people who suffer from keratosis pilaris — you know, those red, raised bumps a lot of people get on the backs of their arms.

Smooth Away Hair Removal System would be better marketed as a skin exfoliator in my opinion. Ill stick to sugaring, waxing — even shaving!

If you are planning on getting laser facial hair removal, you need to be aware that it is important to honor the suggested time intervals or time gaps between treatments. If you are spending the money to use this form of hair removal, you may as well make sure to do things the right way in order to ensure that the hair removed from your face stays gone for as long as possible without having to pay for extra, unnecessary treatment. When it comes to hair removal systems, there are no shortcuts. Doing things the right way the first time around IS the shortest path to your desired goal: smooth, hairless skin!

While different laser hair removal clinics may offer slightly different suggestions in regards to the time you need to wait between treatments in order for optimal facial hair removal, the general consensus is that you should be waiting approximately 2 months in between each laser facial hair removal treatment. The reason for this is so that the hair roots stay close to the surface of the skin. This allows for a greater effect with each successive treatment. After each treatment, the hair will become thinner and thinner. Even though you may not see the use of continuing treatment once your hair appears to thin to the point where you feel happy, know that it is often important to continue with treatment afterwards to ensure that the hair removal remains permanent and as long lasting as possible.

If you find that for some reason you need to take some time off in between sessions, longer than what is suggested by the laser treatment clinic, know that you should hold onto most of the ‘gains’ you have recieved from your laser treatment in regards to how thin it has made your hair. Laser hair removal can push the limits of some people’s budgets. Though it isn’t the most optimal way to go about doing things, this sort of thing happens all the time. Be aware that this may mean that you might have to go in for an extra treatment or two when you are done as interupting the process may make the treatment less effective.

Another thing to consider both during treatment, and if you end up having to interupt the treatment time interval between laser hair treatments for your face is that if you end up using some other form of hair removal system during this time period that waxing should be avoided as well as any other form of epilation such as sugaring, mechanical epilation or anything else that is used to remove the hair from the root. The irritation caused by waxing and other forms of epilation can cause the hair root to retreat away from the surface of the skin. For laser hair removal to be most effective, it needs to have access to the hair root. The closer the hair root is allowed to remain towards your skin, the greater the effect the laser will be able to produce. If you take a break from your laser treatments and decide to wax in between, you should wait at least two months before resuming your treatment regimen.

So there it is — you will be waiting somewhere around 2 months in between each laser treatment for your face. During that time, you are to avoid epilation or waxing. If you need to take longer than 2 months in between treatments, it is advised that you avoid epilation or if you do, wait 2 months before resuming treatment. When you decide to spend the money on a permanent form of hair removal such as laser treatment, follow the recommended guidelines as close as possible, and you will enjoy smooth, hairless skin for a long time to come!

If you are the owner of a laser hair removal clinic you know that the cost of the equipment is a costly expense that can set you back thousands and sometimes tens of thousands of dollars. Thanks to the growing industry and demand for such techniques the supply and demand curve is favoring the manufacturers who are raising their prices to take advantage of the hot market. However there exists an alternative to helping keep costs under the control through using brokers and clearance houses to buy used equipment and save substantial amounts of money.

Tip! Bleaching: This is not a ‘real’ hair removal method. Rather it helps your hair conceal with the tone of your skin to make it less noticeable.

As with any business, laser hair removal clinics come and go. Some flourish while other close up shop for a variety of reasons. Often you can buy their hair removal equipment for a fraction of the price it originally sold for as new. Many specialized brokers exist in the market that can help you with such a purpose for a small percentage fee. Because of the delicate nature of this equipment you want to be careful that anything you purchase that has been previously in service can continue to deliver the safety and precision needed.

Tip! If you are looking for permanent hair removal, this may be the perfect solution to the unending tweezing, waxing, and shaving. Laser hair removal is different for each person.

Brokers routinely buy up the inventory of defunct clinics and recalibrate and test the equipment. Many times they will also go to the expense of having the equipment re-certified. When choosing a broker to buy such equipment from you should be careful to only deal with those who are employ certification techniques to make sure you are getting the best possible equipment. Remember, no matter how cheap equipment might be if it causes harm or damage the legal ramifications can be staggering. Never forget that you get what you pay for!

There are different types of laser hair removal equipment in the market.

One of the easiest methods of hair removal is application of a cream or gel and wiping it off after some time to see the skin free of all unwanted hair. Depilatories are chemical based formulations that dissolve the keratin in the hair by breaking the disulfide bond. The hair weakens from the surface and can be easily wiped clean.

Depilatories are chemical based, so you will be looking for any allergic reactions. Read the instructions carefully before using the product and test it. put a small spot and wash it off after the given time. Wait for any reaction on that spot for a day and if you see no reaction on your skin, use it. Again be careful that depilatories are formulated in different strengths. You must not use high strength products on your face without reading the instructions clearly. One advantage of depilatories is that it can remove very coarse hair without much trouble. But since the hair is removed from the skin surface and not from the hair shaft, this method is very temporary. The hair grows back in very few days.

After applying the depilatory on your skin remove it in the given time or when your skin begins stinging. As the chemical dissolves the hair, it may also be hurting the skin. Don’t forget to remove the product in the given time. If you begin feeling irritation after using depilatory, ask your doctor for a prescription cream to be used before applying depilatory. Your doctor may prescribe a very low strength steroid cream for that. If you have any skin problem, it is best to consult your doctor before using depilatory. A cheap and convenient way to remove hair, depilatory is surely a friend of those who are looking for hair removal.

Tip! Laser hair removal is best for dark hair with light skin but it does not mean that you are not the right candidate for the laser hair removal. You should visit a dermatologist before going for a laser hair removal and you should collect information on laser hair removal from the manufacturers or direct from their site.

Tip! Type of laser hair removal equipment used. There are different types of laser hair removal equipment in the market.

If you are looking for the Smooth Away Hair Removal review, click the hyperlink.

Hair removal is a very big topic, but you don’t have to let that frighten you. There are many products and services on that market today that makes it very easy, affordable, and efficient to get your hair removed without too much stress. Here are some homemade tips to remove body hair showing you which methods you should use depending on what your goals are.

The hair removal products range from extremely simplistic to more complex techniques from regular shavers, electric shavers, plucking, tweezing, threading, to electrolysis, laser hair removal, Brazilian waxing, and regular waxing.

So right there you have more more or less the entire hair removal at your fingertips. The next thing you need to decide is which part of your body you want to remove hair from. That’s right, in addition to the types of hair removal tools, there are also variations depending on where are you targeting for hair removal.

Tip! When using wax for hair removal, it is best to use wax that is authentic. This is because only authentic wax strips and other materials used ion waxing will initiate effective hair removal.

For instance if you wanted to shave your head you would probably have a different set of alternatives versus if you wanted to shave your legs or your bikini area. Hair removal is not always perfect for all parts of the body. Additionally different people will react differently depending on the hair removal option they use- which is something to keep in mind for yourself.

For instance if you wanted to shave your pubic area, you would not want to apply cream based hair removal products or chemical based products because there is a risk that they may irritate the sensitive regions. Instead you might want to consider just using a good old fashioned wet shaver and generous amount of shaving cream or gel at home.

Tip! Light skin makes laser hair removal much easier to perform. Lighter skin allows for fewer treatments and better, faster results.

The bottom line is there are many choices, but if you ask the right questions such as the ones mentioned above, you should be able to find the right solution for you. Additionally, some other questions not mentioned so far may be your budget range, and you comfort level with certain procedures (i.e. electrolysis, waxing, laser hair removal, etc).

Tip! Hair Colour. Laser hair removal works best on dark hair.

Hopefully this has presented you some good information from which you can make your own hair removal decisions safely, effectively, and affordably. Smooth and easy hair removal is obtainable and within everyone’s budget.

Tip! Light skin makes laser hair removal much easier to perform. Lighter skin allows for fewer treatments and better, faster results.

Some of us have problem of hair loss, while a majority wants to get rid of hair from different places on the body. it may the bikini are, or the thin hair line over the upper lip, or hair on the chest and back of men, or hair on legs, and armpits. Everybody wants to know about the method that will help remove hair for a long time without undergoing much trouble. Let us take a brief look at the methods of hair removal.

Waxing- One of the oldest and most common methods for hair removal is waxing. Waxing can be done both with cold wax and hot wax and now with waxing kits available in the market, you can wax yourself at home. In hot waxing, hot wax is spread on the skin, covered with a strip of cloth, allowed to dry and pulled off in the opposite direction of hair growth. This pulls away most of the hair from the hair shaft. This method may be painful and you must take care of the temperature of hot wax, and skin irritation after waxing. Waxing can also cause folliculititis, ingrown hair a, scars and hyperpigmentation.

Tip! Electrolysis: this is the only permanent solution for hair removal and is quite popular for that reason. It is a bit more expensive than other hair removal processes and requires several treatment sessions before it is done.

You can wax any part of the body, small or big in size, except the bikini area. If you are taking oral Vitamin A derivative pills such as Isotretnoin, you need to avoid waxing till your doctor advises. It also applies to topical applications of Vitamin A derivative creams. All these products dry the skin and there is a possibility of hurting the skin while waxing. You should avoid waxing if you have irritated skin, broken sun burnt or bruised. Waxing should be performed on healthy skin only.

Waxing removes hair from the root of the shaft and removes a large quantity of hair at a time. It takes about two weeks for hair to grow. With repetitive waxing of hair, you can expect less hair because of permanent damage to the hair follicle.

Tip! Few side effects – Unlike waxing or hair removing creams, laser hair removal treatment does not cause skin irritation or any other side effects.

What if you don’t have to use any hair removal method and your hair stops growing at places you don’t want it? Can you believe that happening? Eflornithine Hydrochloride does that. Also called as, Vaniqua (a brand) this chemical is now available as a cream in the strength of 13.9%. It has been found that this cream stops hair growth if used for a long period.

Eflornithine Hydrochloride works by stopping the action of enzyme- ornithine decarboxylase that is mainly responsible for stimulating hair growth. It is to be applied twice a day for a minimum period of two months to show results in most of the users. In some users, the results may appear faster. You will continue using your standard hair removal method till that time. This cream is well absorbed by the skin, and you will begin observing difference in hair growth on your face in short time.

Many women have abnormal hair growth problems such as hirsuitism. Some women experience unwanted hair growth during menopause and some suffer from hormonal diseases and polycystic ovarian syndrome. Because of these hair appears on unwanted places on the face and affects the psychology of the sufferer.

For better results, apply the cream twice a day and leave it in place for at least four hours before washing off. You can apply your cosmetics after the cream is absorbed by the skin and has dried. You should consult your doctor about proper use. Stopping use of this cream for long term may reduce the effects seen. It is well tolerated by most women and if you experience any side effects, you should consult your doctor. Proper use of this cream can get you out of trouble of hair removal forever. Please talk to your doctor about Eflornithine hydrochloride in detail before using it and find out how best to use it.

Do you have unwanted hair? Well, welcome to the club. Millions of people around the globe are facing the same problem.

So, are there any solutions?

Well the answer to this question is yes, there are various solutions to the removal of unwanted hair and each of them has its own benefit. Different solutions using different technologies, and each claiming to be the best solution for you, creates a great deal of confusion. One of the most popular of these techniques is Laser Hair Removal.

Tip! Laser hair removal was approved by the FDA in 1998. Older lasers were very slow and very painful.

So does that mean Laser Hair Removal is the best technique?

This technique like all other techniques has its own benefits and limitations. Recently there was a case of women whose skin quite dark and she had undergone laser treatment to remove some unwanted facial hair. But she was unaware of the fact that skin which is dark in nature has the tendency to absorb a lot more laser energy and can cause some damage to the skin.

Tip! Skin Color. Light skin makes laser hair removal easier to perform.

So the first rule is to know that if your skin is dark then you probably want use only specialized lasers and not the general laser treatments. In fact, you may want to consider talking to your doctor before the laser treatment begins, just to make sure.

How cost effective is the Technique?

The next and most general question that people ask is about the expense involved in having laser treatment. Generally, this depends on the area where the treatment is required. The cost is directly proportional to the surface area of the skin to be treated. This means that treatment for your legs will be more costly than your face.

Approximately, an average sitting should cost you anywhere from $200- $700 and you would probably require 3-4 sittings to get the removal completed. Yes, your hair removal generally is not complete in one session. To produce best results you require more than one sitting.

Tip! Number of laser hair removal treatment sessions. This means, the number of laser hair removal treatments you are going to need to complete your desired hairless effect.

Laser treatment is definitely a very effective means of treatment for hair removal and you can always give it a try but be sure to take some medical advice before going for it.

How much does laser hair removal cost? That is always one of the first things that jumps into people’s minds when they decide that they are looking for a permanent hair removal solution. While you can certainly talk to a hair removal professional and get a price, you need to be aware that a lot of that cost is offset by the fact that using laser is a permanent hair removal solution. There is a difference between the terms “cost” and “price”. Seeing as how you are a practical person, I will be sure to include average prices in this article. Know that the cost of laser hair removal is dependent on a variety of factors ranging from the area you would like work done on to the area of the country you happen to be living in.

Certain parts of the country will be more expensive to receive hair removal treatment than others. Treatment in the south eastern United States ranging from Texas to Florida all the way up to the Virginia’s is going to be the most expensive area to receive treatment (average price around $470), next most expensive is the New England/northeastern states, followed by the west — from the Dakota’s westward , with the cheapest part of the US to get laser hair treatment being the midwest (avg. $160). Of course there will be variances within different regions and from clinic to clinic. Note that these prices are for a single treatment. Few people may only require one to 3 treatments, but most will require up to 4 to 6 treatments. Many clinics will provide package deals for those who are going to require several treatments. Talking to the doctor is really the only way you are going to find out the actual cost.

Also be aware that different parts of the body will incur different cost as well. Large area’s such as the back will cost the most, with prices going all the way up to $900. Small, easy to reach places like the under arms are the cheapest with prices ranging from $200-$300 depending upon the size of the person.

One thing that you need to keep in mind here though, is that though laser hair removal costs in terms of money may seem rather high to some, the actual cost is low. “Price” refers specifically to the sticker price of the procedure. The amount of cash that you will hand over. When you factor in things such as the time that you would normally spend shaving, or the cost of materials, as well as the pain that is caused by certain hair removal systems such as waxing, the actual cost of laser hair removal goes way down. Using laser to remove hair is painless and in the grand scope of things, it is a huge time saver. How many minutes per day, or every other day do you spend fumbling around with a razor in the shower? Or purchasing hair removal supplies? Time is money, so is convenience and so is living a pain free life.

If you have decided to do something a little more permanent about unwanted hair, laser hair removal is the most cost efficient and painless way to go about obtaining smooth, healthy, hair-free skin around!

Many men, and even some women desire chest hair removal. Many believe it to be unaesthetic and unsightly. There are a few options available to those who are in need and whichever method you choose to pursue will likely be due to a variety of factors including how much money you are willing to spend and if you are looking for permanent hair removal.

Shaving is always a low expense option for just about any type of hair removal. It doesn’t require any interaction with a professional, and as such you can shave where ever you like – specially if you feel uncomfortable interacting with a professional. Although shaving is one of the cheapest methods around, if you consider the cost of shaving gel as well as the price of disposable razors, you will see that it can actually be quite expensive over even a years time. If you know that you want to be permanently rid of chest hair, though shaving is a cheap option in the short term, it is actually more expensive the longer you decide maintain a hairless chest. Care needs to be taken around the nipples and aereola as it can be quite easy to nick any part of your body that protrudes out of your body.

The next option, and a rather painful one if you aren’t used to it is waxing (and sugaring). Any guys who watched 40 Year Old Virgin will probably cringe at the thought of this as it seems like a brutal way of keeping your skin smooth and hairless. Kind of makes you appreciate what women go through if you think about it! Hot wax is applied, then a cloth is pushed into the wax in order to grip it as it cools. The wax is then ripped off the skin taking the hair with it. This will probably give you the best temporary results for the cheapest price, but it can be quite painful. You can do this in the comfort of your own home, or you can go to a salon and pay someone to do it for you.

The most expensive and pain free method for your chest is laser chest hair removal. Laser chest hair removal costs anywhere from $150 to $400 minimum depending on your location and how much of a bush you have growing on your chest (and how big your body is as well). Though it may seem like an expensive solution, laser hair removal for your chest actually comes out to be about as expensive as shaving when you consider the fact that it provides permanent hair removal. Razors are certainly not cheap now a days, and depending on how smooth you want to keep your chest, you can burn through hundreds of dollars of disposable razors in a year if you are trying to keep things nice and smooth. This doesn’t even factor in the amount of time that you would free up by not having to spend 20 minutes every other day shaving!

If you are in the market for a hairless chest for anything longer than the short term, laser chest hair removal is really the way to go. After that, waxing will do the best job, but it is rather painful. I would advise saving the razors for your face.
