Many men, and even some women desire chest hair removal. Many believe it to be unaesthetic and unsightly. There are a few options available to those who are in need and whichever method you choose to pursue will likely be due to a variety of factors including how much money you are willing to spend and if you are looking for permanent hair removal.

Shaving is always a low expense option for just about any type of hair removal. It doesn’t require any interaction with a professional, and as such you can shave where ever you like – specially if you feel uncomfortable interacting with a professional. Although shaving is one of the cheapest methods around, if you consider the cost of shaving gel as well as the price of disposable razors, you will see that it can actually be quite expensive over even a years time. If you know that you want to be permanently rid of chest hair, though shaving is a cheap option in the short term, it is actually more expensive the longer you decide maintain a hairless chest. Care needs to be taken around the nipples and aereola as it can be quite easy to nick any part of your body that protrudes out of your body.

The next option, and a rather painful one if you aren’t used to it is waxing (and sugaring). Any guys who watched 40 Year Old Virgin will probably cringe at the thought of this as it seems like a brutal way of keeping your skin smooth and hairless. Kind of makes you appreciate what women go through if you think about it! Hot wax is applied, then a cloth is pushed into the wax in order to grip it as it cools. The wax is then ripped off the skin taking the hair with it. This will probably give you the best temporary results for the cheapest price, but it can be quite painful. You can do this in the comfort of your own home, or you can go to a salon and pay someone to do it for you.

The most expensive and pain free method for your chest is laser chest hair removal. Laser chest hair removal costs anywhere from $150 to $400 minimum depending on your location and how much of a bush you have growing on your chest (and how big your body is as well). Though it may seem like an expensive solution, laser hair removal for your chest actually comes out to be about as expensive as shaving when you consider the fact that it provides permanent hair removal. Razors are certainly not cheap now a days, and depending on how smooth you want to keep your chest, you can burn through hundreds of dollars of disposable razors in a year if you are trying to keep things nice and smooth. This doesn’t even factor in the amount of time that you would free up by not having to spend 20 minutes every other day shaving!

If you are in the market for a hairless chest for anything longer than the short term, laser chest hair removal is really the way to go. After that, waxing will do the best job, but it is rather painful. I would advise saving the razors for your face.
